The Otto Grill uses 1500°F radiant heat from the top which gives any meal that perfect sear without fat dripping in the heat source. As a result, the temperature is evenly distributed on the surface of your dish, as opposed to conventional bottom heat, where uniform grilling results are often disturbed by falling fat drops and meat juices. The infrared gas units are stagelessly and separately adjustable, so that grilling is even possible at low temperatures or alternatively only one burner unit can be used. The spacious, height-adjustable grill grate provides enough space for all common cuts, even for the largest Porterhouse, T-Bone Steaks or Tomahawks. The height of the grill grate can be adjusted precisely with the detachable lever. This allows the steak to be placed just a few centimeters below the burners, so that it gets a crispy crust. The grill grate can also be lifted out of the grill with the lever. The Otto Grill is horizontally divided. The upper part can be removed by a few handgrips, so that the bottom part of the grill can be cleaned in the dishwasher. Grilling the perfect steak with the Otto Grill is incredibly simple – you can’t get it wrong. Heat up the grill for about 4 minutes until it has reached its full temperature. Place your steak on the grid and grill it for about one minute per side, depending on the cut, until it gets a tasty brown crust. The drip tray in the bottom of the grill collects the meat juices. When your steak has developed a nice crust from the outside, let it rest in the bottom of the grill for a few minutes until it has reached your desired core temperature.
